Sarah Jarosz earned her credibility in the world where contemporary folk, Americana and roots music intersect. Her reputation is built on three fronts—she is a gifted multi-instrumentalist, an expressive and distinctive vocalist, an accomplished songwriter, and a sought-after collaborator.

A frequent guest on A Prairie Home Companion, Sarah has appeared on Austin City Limits, the BBC’s Transatlantic Sessions, Conan and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. She has been nominated for multiple Grammy awards including two from her last album Build Me Up From Bones, as well as several Americana Music Association Awards. She wrote and recorded her fourth album, Undercurrent, during brief breaks from touring last year.

"I really like that word," Sarah Jarosz says of the title Undercurrent. “That really encompasses the feeling behind this record." That evocative imagery is appropriate for Undercurrent, which reveals new lyrical depth and sonic nuance with every listen.

Joining Sarah on the road will be musicians Eli West and Jeff Picker. A collaborative musician by trade, Seattle-based Eli West will play electric and acoustic guitars, and provide harmony vocals. Bassist Jeff Picker’s unique blend of folk, western swing and jazz influences has made him a highly in-demand player and exciting, creative voice in the Brooklyn roots music scene.

Though Curtis McMurtry is only 25 years of age, many of the characters in his songs seem to have given up on life decades ago. His debut solo album "Respectable Enemy" chronicles the narrations of unapologetically bitter individuals still haunted by the ghosts of lovers and friends they have long since driven away. Few other songwriters inhabit such lonely, spiteful people with such conviction. From the doomed narrator of "Foxhole" to the resigned nostalgia of "Eleanor's House" Curtis writes to break your heart into sharp, jagged pieces.

"Backed by a stand-up bass, cello and occasionally a horn section, the 24-year-old McMurtry epitomizes the catch-all nature of Americana. " - Rollingstone.com

"While most of Americana's modern practitioners are busy searching for another rough edge to sand down, Curtis McMurtry's debut is refreshingly unsymmetrical and beautiful. Like few songwriters his age, he truly understands what a big tent American music actually is." - Joe Pug
