Educational Programming — The Vision
Our new home will allow us to offer a full array of activities associated with community music organizations. Some of the programming we're looking at:
-
Field trips to bring students to our facility for day-time performances and workshops
-
Outreach programs that send Freight musicians and teachers to school classrooms
-
Ensemble and master classes
-
Private and group instruction
-
A library/resource center of books, photographs, recordings, videos, memorabilia, etc.
-
Touring musicians can conduct workshops, lectures, and symposiums
-
A retail outlet offering books, recordings, instructional materials, and musical instruments
