Robin SharpTake four musicians, sixty-eight string quartets, and the genius of Franz Josef Haydn; stir vigorously and applaud wildly. Robin Sharp, Antoine van Dongen, Ben Simon, and Hannah Addario-Berry are the Haydn Project; this will be their first public performance, and with it the early fruits of their journey into these mostly brilliant, always inventive, enormously engaging works.

Mary GauthierIn conversation and in public, Mary Gauthier comes off as a practical, no-nonsense woman. Stoic, even. Which wouldn’t seem unusual, except for the fact that her songs carry so much emotional punch, they can leave you staggering. She has a way of burrowing into that hole so many of us carry inside our souls, and emerging with universal truths that show we aren’t so alone after all.

The Milk Carton KidsWhen Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan ditched their solo careers to form minimalist duo The Milk Carton Kids, they had a plan: to give their music away in order to find their audience. It worked remarkably well.  Their third album, the critically acclaimed The Ash & Clay was released this year and they’re playing to packed houses and festival crowds across the U.S. and Europe.
