If the Freight appears to be glowing with super-positive vibes it's probably because we're on a trip back in time with tonight's tour guides, Yardbirds tribute band The RaveUps.

Performing the bluesy psychedelic music of the Yardbirds in an earthy, organic mode, the RaveUps feature lead guitarist Chris Solberg (Santana, Eddie Money, Chris Isaak), bass player Kit Newkirk, singer/harmonica player Dave Seabury, rhythm guitarist Bob Lewis, and drummer Donn Spindt (of Rubinoo's fame).

Long-time Freight favorites, Mitch Greenhill and Mayne Smith join two streams of American traditional music "where country meets the blues." Mitch began his career in Harvard Square's coffee houses, focusing on blues and other African American guitar styles. Mayne's home is in the Bay Area, where he developed his spine-tingling Anglo American country-style singing, as well as his dobro and pedal steel guitar technique.
